Maintenance

DLC (diamond like carbon coating) is a thin carbon layer that gives the blade exceptional hardness, scratch resistance, and reduced friction when cutting. This makes the knife easier to handle and less likely to stick to food. The surface remains protected even with daily use and takes on a luxurious matte black appearance. DLC is rightly called "diamond" because it shares some of the key properties of diamond, such as extreme hardness and high resistance.
